Polarium announces change in Board of Directors

Effective following the company’s annual general meeting

Polarium announced its new Board of Directors, effective following the company’s AGM.

As a leading provider of energy storage solutions, Polarium is well positioned to meet growing global demand and return to growth and profitability. The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders has decided on a new Board of Directors to support the company in its work on a new strategic plan.

The new Board is composed of leaders with extensive experience and expertise to support the company towards growth and profitability:

Harald Mix, Chairman of the Board
Harald is the founder and a partner of Altor Equity Partners. He is also the chairman and co-founder of Vargas Holding. Prior to establishing Altor in 2003, Harald co-founded and served as deputy CEO of IK Investment Partners. He serves on several boards, including Aira, Carnegie Investment Bank, H2 Green Steel, Nordic Leisure Travel Group, and Kinnevik.

Stefan Jansson, Board Member
Stefan co-founded Polarium back in 2015. He has more than 25 years of experience from working with innovative energy storage solutions and building global businesses. Prior to Polarium Stefan was part of the founding teams of Northstar Battery Company as well as Abatel.

Kent Sander, Board Member
Kent has over 35 years of executive experience in international companies, including key roles at Ericsson, Associated Group Inc., and TruePosition Inc. He is the Chairman of GreenIron and has served as a senior partner at Brainheart Capital, Transmode Systems AB, Tobii Technology and Serneke. He has also been a Board Member at BT OnePhone and IAR Systems, and a member of Samsung’s International Advisory Board.

Joakim S Johansen, Board Member
Joakim is Investment Manager at Vargas Holding. Prior to Vargas, he was a Director at Summa Equity, a European ESG Private Equity Fund. Prior to Summa, he worked in the Investment Banking Department at Morgan Stanley.
