Polarium, a leader in energy storage solutions, and Stella Futura, a prominent actor in the Swedish Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market, have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of BESS in Northern Europe. The collaboration combines Polarium’s cutting-edge energy storage technology with Stella Futura’s expertise in project development, aiming to meet the growing demand for safe, efficient, and sustainable energy storage solutions.
Under this partnership, Polarium will supply its state-of-the-art modular battery energy storage systems and cloud-based energy optimization and VPP (Virtual Power Plant) solutions. Stella Futura will serve as the reseller and project developer, managing the implementation process, including system design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. Furthermore, Stella Futura will also be able to offer Polarium systems with a leasing solution or battery as a service. Together, the companies plan to deliver robust solutions that address the region’s energy storage needs, promote grid stability, and support renewable energy integration. Targeted segments are commercial and industrial clients.
Northern Europe is experiencing a rapid transition towards renewable energy sources, increasing the need for reliable energy storage to ensure grid stability and security of supply. By joining forces, Polarium and Stella Futura aim to strengthen their positions in this expanding market, targeting 100 MW installed capacity within 18 months.
