Northvolt has nominated Jim Hageman Snabe as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Snabe is former CEO and Board Member of SAP, and is currently the Chairman of Siemens, Board Member of C3.ai, Member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum and Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School.

Northvolt also welcomes Barara Frei-Spreiter as a Member of the Board. Frei-Spreiter is Executive Vice President Industrial Automation and Member of the Executive Committee at Schneider Electric. Frei-Spreiter has held multiple executive roles at ABB and is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Swisscom.

The appointments are part of a long-term strategic initiative to build a more independent board with global industrial competence and excellence.
